Some people are interested in ancient mythology and love the stories handed down through the years about the Gods the Romans and Greeks worshipped.
Certain philatelists also collect stamps for this topic and many countries have issued stamps over the years commemorating the Gods.
As long ago as 1966, Belgium issued a stamp with a dinosaur on it. Very revolutionary for the time. On May 28 of that year, a stamp was released with a picture of the skeleton of an Iguanodon.

In 2014, The Netherlands issued stamps featuring its newly-crowned king, Willem-Alexander. But something didn’t quite fit on the stamps – and I’m not talking about the size of the new king’s head.
One hundred and fifty years ago Lewis Carroll’s classic book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was published. To celebrate this fact Royal Mail will issue on January 6 a ten-stamp sheet depicting the adventures of Alice re-animated by illustrator Grahame Baker-Smith.
