Stamps and PostBeeld belong together. More than 25 people work here every day dealing with everything concerning stamps. The accompanying photo report gives a peek behind the scenes of the PostBeeld office in Haarlem.
The PostBeeld-photo report
We begin on the outside. PostBeeld has three adjoining shopfronts, Kloosterstraat 17, 19 and 21.
The main shop area is number 17.
The whole process begins with the processing of collections bought in.
Then the stamps are placed, in categories, in bags.
With around 150,000 different articles in stock good internal logistics are required. This photo shows the plastic bags containing stamps which are stored in large cabinets with revolving shelves.
Here internet orders are picked from stock.
After picking, the order and its items are checked for accuracy and completeness using a control code.
Part-orders from other locations will be merged with those ordered and taken from stock in the Haarlem store.
The entire order process is carried out utilising barcodes. This also enables the customer to track the status of his order via the website.
In the post room orders are packed and made ready for sending.
Processing new issues for subscribers and for stock.

Lo teneis todo perfecto, felicitacion
Congratulations !!!!
Your work is very interesting and I am very satisfied with your service
Thanks a lot
Just place my first order and like the clarity and simplicity of your system (shame you can’t list SG numbers)
Thanks for the comment. We are working on adding Stanley Gibbons numbers to our database on a daily basis. Since the database of stamps is very large, it will take a lot of time to complete but more SG numbers will be available in each update.
