Expo Milano 2015 is the Universal Exhibition that Milan, Italy, is hosting from May 1 to October 31, 2015. Over this six-month period, Milan becomes a global showcase where more than 140 participating countries display the best of their technology that offers a solution to a vital need: being able to guarantee healthy, safe and sufficient food for everyone, while respecting the Earth and its equilibrium. To commemorate the event, Italy released this stamp set, with the theme ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’.
Earlier this year Portugal began an initiative to reintroduce one of the World’s rarest cat species, the Iberian Lynx, to the country and issued this commemorative set of stamps in celebration of the scheme.
